Safeguarding Children, Policy, Guidance and Procedures
Children have the right to be protected from harm so it is important that all of Harrow Early years settings that work with young children has a clear set of guidelines about how they will keep children safe and to respond to child protection concerns. The document ‘Safeguarding Children, Policy, Guidance and Procedures’ has been produced to ensure that the setting’s safeguarding policy is in line with current legislation and national guidance. This document will enable you to update and revise your current safeguarding policy.
The purpose of the policy is to:
- Protect children that attend the setting.
- Provide staff and volunteers with the overarching principles that provide guidance on the approach to safeguarding and Child protection.
- Understand and acknowledged that Safeguarding is Everyone’s responsibility. The setting has a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and to keep them safe.
- The Safeguarding Policy guidance has been endorsed by the Harrow Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB).
